MEET OUR BOARD:
President: Scott Neale
Scott first arrived in the Fort McMurray in 1996 to come to work like many people have over the years. Last year as he was preparing to bring his family to make the permanent move to Fort McMurray, The Beast made its appearance leaving its mark on the people, the city and the landscape. In June 2017, they came back to settle into their home and like many others lived the life of recovering from the fire.
He has been a SnoDrifter member for 2 years, his family have been avid sled riders since 2008. His most memorable sleds were 1980 John Deere 340 Spit Fire, 1985 SkiDoo Formula SP and 2009 Polaris RMK 600, which he still rides today. He is very happy about being the President of the SnoDrifter club, and intends to continue grow the great reputation and support established by past members.
Vice President: Philip King
Phillip has been in Fort McMurray for over ten years and has learned the meaning of work/life balance. His balance has been enhanced by sledding the Sno-Drifters trails on his days off. He loves the freedom and the surrounding nature here. The crisp, cool winters, warm fires and meals on the trails add to an amazing experience. This is Fort McMurray freedom at its finest!
Treasure: Terry Head
Terry has always loved the outdoors whether walking or riding on a machine. After working across the world he moved up here in 2012. Terry started working with the drifter association on trail cleanup and events. He has recently joined the club as our treasurer. While he enjoys the sledding part the added bonus is working and riding with the drifters and he looks forward to meeting more members on the trails this year.
VP2: Olin Perry
Olin Perry was an avid snowmobiler growing up in the Maritimes. He spent 14 years in the NWT where he developed a love for the sport and purchased his first new sled in 1990. He has been a member of the Sno-Drifters since moving to Fort mcMurray in 2001. His greatest achievement is his marriage of 22 years, his 2 daughters and 1 son. He and his wife provided a loving foster home to many children. The recent fire in Fort McMurray changed the plans of many people and he is pleased to continue on as the 2nd VP of the Drifters. Olin is committed to work with the Drifters team and provide the support to get our club back out on the trails this winter."From the ashes up!"
Executive Assistant: Terri Windover
Terri spent over 30 years as a fitness trainer and nutritionist. She has written for a number of magazines and papers at the local, national and international level. She dabbles in website design, photography and runs a Canadian food blog. She is a mother, wife, lover of food and wine and of course an avid snowmobiler, both on trails and the race track.
